Big Peat 15th Anniversary Limited Edition is a marriage of Islay single malts, with Caol Ila malt bringing sweetness, Bowmore adding balance, Ardbeg an earthy, medicinal quality, and Port Ellen, a degree of elegance. The malts were blended and then predominantly matured in hand-selected red wine casks.This release comes in a carton featuring 15 discoverable points about Big Peat, the Isle of Islay, and the whisky itself.
Big Peat celebrates it's 15th anniversary in 2024 with a special anniversary edition with a red wine cask finish. It combines the heavy peat, briny and ashy notes with fruity and nutty aromas. This limited edition was bottled at 50% ABV as a limited edition small batch release, non chill filtered and with no added colour.
